One of these days I'm going to probably switch over to a pure text editor - possibly Sublime or Chocolat. but I'm pretty happy with Espresso and don't see a huge need to switch at the moment. Maybe it's just one of those things where I would get used to the changes over time if I just stuck with it. Coda version 2.0 was released on, along with an iPad version called Diet Coda. It was first released on Apand won the 2007 Apple Design Award for Best User Experience.
I just wasn't blown away by the new release. Coda is a commercial and proprietary web development application for macOS, developed by Panic. Dreamweaver window arrangement drives me nuts on Mac.
It seems like there are a lot of bugs still to be worked out (based on comments that I keep seeing on Twitter), and that just doesn't look good either. Dreamweaver CS6 or Coda 2 for HTML/CSS dev I am an idiot and done have tags/props.

Version 1 just had an ease of use that V2 doesn't seem to have. While Dreamweaver used to be accessible to everyone - the hobbyist right up to the web design professional - right now. I have tried TextWrangler, Komodo Edit, Coda ( demo only as it never had all the features I expected to find, and the Coda 2 release is taking forever to. Coda has a built in terminal, sql editor, and git integration. They both have built in ftp, sites management, and live preview. The way it shows multiple files (in a thumbnail view across the top of the app, or even as text based tabs is awkward IMO, especially if you have a large number of files open. As a Dreamweaver replacement I prefer Coda 2 or Espresso 2 (mac only). I'm just not a fan of the new interface, mostly. Ben, what have Panic done to Coda to make it so unbearable? Yours' and others' opinions have turned me away from buying this entirely new version.
